Trailer for Season 4
BRIAN MAUGHAN: From big cities to small towns, you know what they say about commercial real estate—it’s all about location. And wherever there’s the perfect property, there’s also a neighborhood. And, ideally, a thriving community.
I’m Brian Maughan, Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer at Fidelity National Financial.
In our fourth season of Built, take a walk with me as we explore cities, like Pittsburgh, that are being developed on this personal level:
TODD REIDBORD: We just started looking around where we had grown up and where we had lived and said, how can we make this better?
BRIAN MAUGHAN: We’re taking a closer look at the community impact of real estate revitalization and development. We’re interested in the neighborhoods that surround commercial spaces, and the locals who work in them.
JASON JOHNSON: The biggest impact we make in the community for sure … as entrepreneurs or as business leaders, as managers, is to be kind to the people that we work with … and they come home actually having had a good day.
BRIAN MAUGHAN: Buildings are no longer just the spaces where we live and work. They have the potential to connect communities and meet the needs of a neighborhood, be it education, good jobs, grocery stores—or simply having fun.
BLAIR HUMPHREYS at Wheeler tour: As you walk between these houses, you'll see how it provides connections through the neighborhood, and it's ultimately kind of a beloved way to get around for kids.
BRIAN MAUGHAN: We’re taking you directly to the places that are growing and evolving in an intentional, equitable way, and the groundbreakers behind them: the developers, business owners, architects, and more. Because when we invest in communities, we’re really investing in people and their success.
